In the late 1980's, The Brewer Company entered the dental market with the acquisition of Del-Tube Corporation. Del-Tube's products included dental seating, among other products for the dental operatory, which complemented Brewer's manufacturing expertise with the line of products for the medical market. The Del-Tube name was subsequently merged into the Brewer brand name in the mid 1990's.
In 1996, The Brewer Company embarked upon an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) business development growth strategy which centered on the offering of our knowledge and core manufacturing competencies (upholstery services and seating products) to large and well respected OEM's in and outside healthcare.
In 2004, the company split into two Strategic Business Units, with the formation of Brewer Medical and Brewer Design to better service historical and projected growth. Each business unit is specifically aligned to respective customer groups, distribution channels, and related design and manufacturing requirements. |
Brewer Design focuses on two divisions; Distribution and OEM. The Distribution Division manufactures leading ergonomic seating products to the dental, optical and industrial markets. The OEM Division provides custom upholstery and cushion seating solutions to a variety of industries and Fortune 500 companies across the world.

Our innovative product development methodology uses the "Voice of the Customer" foundation to ensure our customer's needs are met with each new product we introduce.

Founded in 1947, The Brewer Company began its operation as a custom tube fabricator constructing products for a wide range of industrial and consumer applications. In the mid 1950's, Brewer introduced some of the first chrome stools made especially for the popular diners of that time.
Following the introduction and success of the chrome stools line for the restaurant market, Brewer decided to take its chrome seating concept a step further. In the mid 1960's, the company introduced a comprehensive line of seating and related product for the healthcare market, which has become the cornerstone of the business today.
